Simsbury Chamber of Commerce Launches Online Coupon Program

Are you looking for a great holiday gift?  That comes with a discount? The Simsbury Chamber has just what you're looking for!  On November 30, 2012, the chamber launched its newest promotional benefit that has the consumer in mind.  "Simsbury Chamber Coupons" is a joint venture between the Simsbury Chamber of Commerce and Simsbury Coupon Vibes, a young start-up company in Simsbury.

Before redesigning the chamber's website this past year, Technology Chairman Pam Lacko conducted focus groups with Simsbury residents.  High on their list was the opportunity to receive discounts and coupons from the chamber membership.  “Offering coupons and discounts to the community is an exciting and very necessary benefit to both our members and their consumers.”

At the same time the chamber was examining the web platform they would use to provide consumer coupons, Wahid Zahedi and Stephen Wright of Simsbury Coupon Vibes joined the chamber with the very model the chamber wanted to create, and a partnership was formed.  Chamber members receive a special discount and have their "deals" sent exclusively to the chamber's consumer email directory.  In addition, they are also featured on the Simsbury Coupon Vibes website. www.simsburycouponvibes.com

"The more we can connect our chamber businesses to the area consumer, the faster we can stimulate our local economy," stated Executive Director Charity Folk.  "Once on our website homepage, residents can sign up for "News and Events" as well.  The chamber has received tremendous feedback on our Storm Updates, Road Closings and Town Information that we have been forwarding to residents since Storm Alfred. "
