Simsbury Family Donates Bikes to Police Department

The Simsbury Police Department uses certified bicycle officers to patrol parks, schools, events, and Greenway trails.

Thanks to a generous gift from a local family, the Simsbury Police Department bicycle patrol can add two new bikes to the fleet.

The Fox family, of Simsbury, donated two new police bicycles in May in support of the department’s public safety efforts.

The department uses certified bicycle officers to patrol the town's parks and recreation areas, the town center, schools, special events, and 7 miles of greenway, according to a statement.
