Good morning Simsbury. Today is Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013. Here are a few things to know. 

1. Certified Master Naturalist, Master Wildlife Conservationist and National Park Service Ranger Gary Melynsyn gives the Simsbury Camera Club a presentation on Wild Alaska tonight and the public is invited. See details here

2. The Conservation Commission/IWWA meets tonight.

3. A good — or bad — trend, depending on your viewpoint. The temperature will approach 80 degrees today, according to the National Weather Service.  

4. Today's home games include varsity field hockey against Wethersfield at 3:45 p.m.; JV field hockey vs. Wethersfield at 5:15 p.m.; varsity girls soccer against Farmington at 7 p.m. and JV Girls Soccer vs Farmington at 3:45 p.m.
