Not
the typical graduate!!!

He
walked the halls many days alone.  He has
ADHD and has struggled socially.  My son
is described by a teacher as “not the
typical kid”
in SHS.  He learned at a
young age how to build strong relationships with teachers and
administration.  Great teachers and
Administration like Mrs. Martensen at Latimer Lane, and Administration like
Mrs. Homrok-Lemke at HJMS, and lastly Mr. Patrina, Mrs. Donovan and Mr.
Stillman at SHS.  Our family thanks you
all.  They got to know him and when trouble
came his way they always had his back.
He played sports for many years and kids poked fun at him in the locker
room.  Yet he continued to play.  He never gives up.   He was never on an honor roll or part of an
elite group.  He struggled
academically.  Our family motto for him was,
“We will NOT let you fail”.  Some days
those statements were not enough.  Justin
has made his share of mistakes, each one only once!!!  He will tell you that he truly learns from
them.  On April 8, he almost died, a
“heartbeat” away the doctor said.  It was
the worst day of my life.  From that life
changing event he has moved forward, thought positive, has the most friends he
has ever had and has the best grades he ever has. He is off to Penn College, PA
to study Diesel Technology.  I am so
proud of my son for beating the odds of ADHD and for beating the odds of not
being the “typical” SHS student.  I am so
excited and proud of him.  I love the man
he has become. I love to see him happy. Congrats Justin!!!
