Daniel J. Seger, who is running for the State Senate in District 8, received the endorsement of the Uniformed Professional Firefighters Association of Connecticut, in a letter dated October 10.

Mr. Seger owns Connecticut Web Services, a company he founded in Canton in 2005. He has served as the Director of the Canton Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the New Hartford Business Council. Mr. Seger lives in Canton.
This election marks Mr. Seger’s first run for elected office. Dan spent 27 years working in manufacturing in Connecticut, helping to grow New Hartford’s Perry Technology Corporation from its small, ten employee operation into a state-of-the-art, 110-employee manufacturer of precision aerospace equipment.

Dan Seger is running against the incumbent State Senator, Kevin D. Witkos of Canton. Senator Witkos is a retired police sergeant from the town of Canton and has served his community as a fire chief.[1] Senator Witkos is employed by Northeast Utilities.
