Squadron Line School Playground

A new playground is coming to Squadron Line!!!

The playground in the rear of the school is badly in need of replacement. The antiquated equipment houses bees, and has caused countless splinters. Some parts of the structure have already been removed for safety reasons.

Our NEW playground will include, not only exciting new play equipment, but also additions such as a dinosaur dig and a band shell.  The new pieces and structures are inspired by the beautiful natural landscape that is SQL’s backyard.  This newly developed space will bring our multitude of disparate play areas together for kids of all grades to enjoy.

How you can help:

The new playground can’t be accomplished without your support!

SQL Parents: SAVE THE DATE for our Silent Auction event on April 7, 2013, from 1:30PM-4:30PM at Squadron Line Elementary School. Bring the whole family for fun competitions, food, and a chance to bid on priceless auction items, including activities like a laser tag outing with Mr. Dunn, a reserved parking spot at the front of the school, or renaming Burrick Way in honor of YOUR family. Tickets will be on sale soon!

Business Owners: Please donate to this great cause!  We are accepting all donations to the playground fund and/or donations to our silent auction event. We are also seeking goods and services needed in the demolition and construction of the new playground. Contact Lisa Wilcox at sqlplayground@gmail.com to find out how you can help.

Alumni: Do you have fond memories of YOUR favorite SQL teacher? Why not buy a donor brick in their honor to forever commemorate their contribution to our school? A donor brick patio will be the centerpiece of a butterfly garden in honor of our shining teachers. Contact Lisa Wilcox at sqlplayground@gmail.com to place your order. Bricks can be purchased in honor of ANY teacher or staff member at any school, so all are welcome to participate in this effort!

Remember – we need the support of the entire Simsbury Community to create this playground for our children!  Thank you in advance for all of your help.
