This Friday, February 15 The Cobb School will launch new sessions of both its Parent Infant Community and Little Acorn Suzuki Music for Babies. The Cobb School welcomes the public to register for these programs and become part of its growing center for parent/infant education.
At 9am in Cobb’s Parent Infant Room, Sheryl MacInnis, Director of the Young Children’s Community, will lead a friendly and informative discussion on ways to prepare a baby’s nursery and other rooms in your home. You will discover how the “prepared environment” according to Montessori philosophy encourages optimal development. To learn more about Cobb’s Parent Infant Community and the dates and topics of future Friday morning classes, please click HERE. Space is limited. Cost is free. Registration is required.
Following the Parent Infant Community meeting Cobb will host its Little Acorn Parent-Child Suzuki Music for Babies. From 10:45am to 11:45am parents and caregivers of infants and toddlers 0-3 years are encouraged to participate in this unique musical experience. Through the Suzuki Early Childhood Music Education program, children are guided naturally through a process that helps to build strong scaffolding in the brain to support all later learning. The cost for the ten-week session is $150 with a one-time materials fee of $25. To download a registration form, please click HERE.
