Canton, CT, September 12th, 2013
On September 12th, 2013, volunteers from Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. volunteered their time to beautify the exterior of FOCUS Center for Autism as part of the Fireman’s Fund Day of Sharing. The volunteers cleaned windows and did an extensive amount of gardening; all tasks that make the FOCUS building a bright and welcoming place. Additionally, Joe Sampieri from Canton Garden Center donated six begonias to FOCUS as part of this volunteer project. The results of their hard work were astounding, and FOCUS is very appreciative of their service.
Fireman's Fund Days of Sharing is a powerful program designed to give back to the diverse communities it serves. Across the country, Fireman's Fund employees spend a day volunteering their time in diverse ways: serving food in homeless shelters, working with senior citizens, providing support for handicapped persons, helping local fire departments, clearing nature trails, and much more. It's a chance for us to give back - if even in a small way - to help people and places that make up the communities we all live in.
