Many of our grand/parents strictly forbade us to even go near the Farmington, as it was so polluted.
The river is now very different from those olde days: thousand of people fish, swim, paddle and row. Yet it is still studied and measured.
JOIN US at the Roaring BRook Nature Center on Gracey Road in Canton this THURSDAY 10/17 from 7:30-8:30 for a presentation of the Farmington River Watershed Association's ongoing water monitoring program. Alisa Phillips-Griggs, FRWA Water Quality and Projects Coordinator will present an in-depth review of the program.
This is the fourth of five "River Talks" celebrating the 60th anniversary of the FRWA.
