Eno Memorial Hall came to life on Oct. 8 as the Simsbury Intonations and students from the Hartt School made music together.
The group performed tunes that crossed generations, like “Rock Around the Clock” and “The Locomotion,” and had the foot-tapping audience in smiles.
The Hartt students ended the performance by dancing, clapping and singing in the aisles.

Greg Babal, who directs the Intonations at the Simsbury Senior Center, said he tries to schedule at least two concerts a year with the Hartt School, University of Hartford, where he teaches piano.
“For the seniors, it’s nice to have this lively bunch of young people come in to sing and it’s a wonderful cooperative effort,” he said. “The young people look forward to it. To them, it’s almost like singing with your grandmother.”
