Drives Successful but Fooshare Still Short on Turkeys

Updated results also given for Jack Bannan Memorial Turkey Trot

Despite some successful drives, Foodshare is still approximately 3,800 turkeys short in its goal to help needy families this Thanksgiving holiday. 

To help, the organization is keeping its Bloomfield facility at 450 Woodland Ave., Bloomfield open until 8 p.m. Monday. Tel: (860) 286-9999. People can also call the “turkey hotline” phone line open from 4 to 7 p.m. at (860) 856-4357 (860-856-HELP) and make a donation via credit card.

Also this weekend, Marianne Bannan, event coordinator for last week's Jack Bannan Memorial Turkey Trot, provided some updated numbers of the collection last week.
