Big Bad Voodoo Daddy To Play Dixie, Jazz, Swing And More At Hso Talcott Mountain Music Festival July 8

Simsbury Meadows will sound like the “Big Easy” when New Orleans style jazz/big band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy teams up with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra at the Talcott Mountain Music Festival on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at Simsbury Meadows. 

Conducted by Leonid Sigal, this program will have audiences dancing on the lawn to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s biggest hits, including Go Daddy-O, Mr. Pinstripe Suite, The Jumpin’ Jive, Jungle Book (I Wanna Be Like You), Calloway Boogie, and more.

Ticket Information: Subscriptions to the 2011 Talcott Mountain Music Festival range in price from $150-$1420. Single tickets range in price from $20-$45. Additional Information: Gates open at 6 p.m. for all Talcott Mountain Music Festival concerts. Open to all ticket holders, the HSO Family Activity Tent is open from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.; families can enjoy free activities such as music-themed games and crafts, the “Instrument Zoo,” and youth performances. This concert will be performed rain or shine; program is subject to change.
