Jack Bannan's Turkey Trot Aims to Collect 3,500 Turkeys for Local Families

Donations for the Jack Bannan's Turkey Trot can be made at participating Farmington Valley stores and at Henry James Memorial School today.

Jack Bannan's Turkey Trot food drive is being held today at Henry James Memorial School and participating stores in Simsbury. The annual drive aims to collect 3,500 frozen turkeys and 24,000 lbs. of non-perishable food items between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Wednesday November 14, 2012.

Foodshare will be delivering the food to local families in need before the Thanksgiving holiday.

A refrigerated tractor trailer truck will be parked at Henry James Memorial School during the drive today. Turkeys and non-perishable items can be purchased at the following local retailers:

Volunteers will be available at these locations to accept your donations. Cash donations and checks made payable to Foodshare, Inc. will also be accepted.
