Lack of Security Means 'The Flaming Lips' Will Skip Over Simsbury

Town officials cited security concerns about the planned July 15 concert at Simsbury Meadows, the Hartford Courant reports.

The Flaming Lips will no longer be stopping to perform in Simsbury this summer due to a lack of available security officials, the Hartford Courant reports.

Police Chief Peter Ingvertsen said that not enough officers would be available for the July 15 event at the Simsbury Meadows, according to the Courant.

Emmylou Harris will still be performing the following day, the Courant said.
