Simsbury Memorial Day Parades: Routes and Times

The parades are Monday, May 26 — and organizers want to be sure every veteran knows.

The Town of Simsbury's annual Memorial Day Parades will take place on Monday, May 26.

Veterans are invited to participate in one or both of the parades, and the community is encouraged to come out and show their support for this patriotic event.

Calling All Veterans

In the past, the area’s approximately 900 veterans have been personally contacted to advise them how to arrange to march in the parades, or ride in classic automobiles. But since many households no longer have land-lines and are, therefore, not listed in the telephone directory, parade organizers want to be sure every veteran who can participates does.

If you know a veteran, make sure he/she knows the parade is Monday, May 26, and that they are the most important part of the celebration.

Veterans and friends wishing to participate in the parades — especially those veterans who need to be driven along all or part of the parade route — should register with Ray Jennings 860-658-1034 or Hap Poole 860-658-4390.
