Born and raised in NYC, Liz began her jazz education at Antioch College, studying jazz flute until she found her voice. She returned to NYC to begin her jazz vocal education at Hunter College. During this time she had the good fortune to study with jazz greats Don Friedman, Milt Hinton, Buck Clayton and Jon Faddis. Since graduating from Hunter, Liz has played extended vocal/piano engagements in NYC, the Hamptons, Atlantic City, and St. Barthelemy. She’s appeared with her trio throughout the northeast and with the recent release of her CD, Oh, You Crazy Moon, she is ready to share her honest and contemporary sound with a wider audience. Pianist/composer Harold Danko said of Liz’s new CD, “I could have told you about her talent a long time ago, but for now, just listen and enjoy.”
