The Harp Studio is run by Susan Knapp Thomas, who is a native of West Simsbury and attended Tootin' Hills, Squadron Line, Henry James, and Ethel Walker School. She runs the CT Valley Harp Intensive Summer Camp at The Ethel Walker School, and is currently Principal Harpist for the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. Students range in age from 8-18 yrs old and perform in a wide variety of venues, including this recital. Many of the pieces above are written by both traditional composers and composers who are harpists. See the Library's online calendar for a list of performers and their selections.
