"Murder at Three Corner Pond" Returns to the Simsbury Historical Society

Intrigue and claims of magic will again materialize at the Simsbury Historical Society when the Simsbury Theatre
Guild presents its acclaimed version of the tale of the Simsbury Witch. Murder at Three Corner Pond: A Colonial
Tale
is playwright and town resident Betsy Maguire’s version of the oft-told tale of Debby Griffen, the alleged
witch.  The many talents of TGS’s actors will be on display as they bring this Colonial tale to life in the main room of
the replica of Simsbury’s first Meetinghouse in the center of town. The original Meetinghouse, which served as both church and town hall, was the actual building in which the tale was said to have taken place.  First performed around Halloween last fall, Murder at Three Corner Pond: A Colonial Tale was well-received and enjoyed by audiences. For your opportunity to see a Simsbury legend come to life, contact the Simsbury Historical Society at programs@simsburyhistory.org or 860-658-2500. May 11, 2012 at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. in the Meetinghouse on the
grounds of the Simsbury Historical Society. Cost: $7 members, $10 non-members.
