Simsbury Farmers' Market

540 Hopmeadow St Simsbury CT 06070  See map

This week the Market is Going Green!  We're talking about ways people can Eat Smart by buying local and sustainable foods, as well as conserving resources by saving energy, giving up bad habits (like drinking bottled water), and working to sustain the environment for future generations.

Musical entertainment this week is Hannah's Field-a gypsy, reggae duo.  Come out for the entertainment and enjoy products from old favorites such as George Hall Farm (certified organic) and American Pie, try drinking free trade, sustainable beverages from GIV Coffee, sample produce from Bright Yellow Farm and delicious baked goods from Collinsville Baking Company.

There is still time to buy a "Friend of the Market" keychain, which will give you access to weekly specials at all of the Market vendors.  The price has been reduced to $10.  Show your support for the Market and buying local!

The market is held shine or drizzle weekly on Thursdays until October 4th from 3:00-6:00 pm and was recently voted Best Regional Market on Simsbury Patch.

The article says it provides information about "various ways" the community can helpRead More teachers. However, it provides information only about the Staples discount program. The link takes you to a Staples website, not to a list of ways communities are helping. In addition, statistics given are national, not relating to Simsbury, or even Connecticut. This seems like a canned article designed to promote Staples. Was it written and submitted by that retailer?
