TEEN SUMMER READING PROGRAM AT THE SIMSBURY PUBLIC LIBRARY WILL WRAP UP WITH “TEEN SHOWCASE”

Come and see what Simsbury teens have been doing this summer! People of all ages are invited to the Teen Showcase which caps off the Simsbury Library “Reading Road” Teen Summer Reading Program, made possible by donations from the Friends of the Simsbury Library and community members. It will be held on Thursday, August 23 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM in the program room on the lower level of the Library at 725 Hopmeadow Street. We will start with a short presentation about the Navajo Mentoring Program by David Mazor, Executive Director of Reader to Reader, Inc. Teens have been reading to raise money for this amazing program.  Attendees will also be treated to live performances by Jessica Sikora’s dance students, Amanda Mulé’s Improv students, and Carol Mon’s Storytelling students. The grand prize raffle drawing for the teen and adult reading programs will be followed by free food for attendees.

RSVP by phone at 860-658-7663 x2200, in person, or by clicking on “Calendar” on the website: www.simsburylibrary.info. Reservations are appreciated, but drop-ins are also welcome.
