History Day Set for June 9

Learn about the history of downtown Simsbury while enjoying a nice walk.

Bring your cell phone and walking shoes for the first cell phone walking tour of Hopmeadow Street in celebration of History Day in Simsbury.

Simsbury is the first town in Connecticut with a cell phone tour of the town, and it's easily navigated by dialing 860-323-9029 on your cell phone to discover the history and architecture of downtown. There are also maps available at each of the tour stops or in or Town Hall.

The tour will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 9. There will be a ribbon cutting at at 11 a.m. and four designated tour stops will be highlighted with balloons. There will also be activities at some stops.
