Teens Showcase Talents at Simsbury Public Library

After a summer of hard work, local teens performed for families and the community at Simsbury Public Library.

About 75 people gathered at the Simsbury Public Library on Thursday for the culmination of a summer-long program for teens.

The Teen Showcase entertained the crowd with storytelling, dance, and improv theater.

"This show is the culmination of their efforts," Joan Nagy said.

Teachers Carol Mon, Jessica Sikora, and Amanda Mule worked with about 30 students over the summer to hone their peformance skills.

The program is currently in its fourth year and has been popular with local teens.

"Everybody really enjoys it," Nagy said. "The families get to see what their kids are doing. It also forms great relationships between the kids."
