This week, Simsbury Patch readers were asked to choose the best local place to visit when spending vacation time in town.

The is a hub for community events and the summer home of the Hartford Symphony. Located in the heart of town, the arts center complex offers sports fields, a play area for kids, the Paw Meadow Dog Park, and a 2,930 square foot stage.

The 'Other' option in our poll came away with four total votes, the most of any of the options. The four votes were split by three reader suggestions in the comments section: the downtown cell phone walking tour, the bike trails, and a visit to Tulmeadow Farms.

The performing arts center came in first place with three dedicated votes. Simsbury Farms took a close second with just two votes.
