CBRE/New England (CBRE/NE) is pleased to announce that it has officially been retained as the exclusive marketing advisor in the disposition of The Hartford’s corporate office campus located at 200 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury, Connecticut. The local Hartford office brokerage team of John McCormick, Patrick Mulready and Anna Kocsondy will be handling this assignment in collaboration with Bob Shulman and Elizabeth Harding of Cresa-Boston.
200 Hopmeadow Street is a 640,944 SF corporate headquarters facility situated on approximately 133 acres located on Route 10/202 in Simsbury, Connecticut. Currently owned and occupied by The Hartford, this unique Class A office property offers a signature identity and a tranquil campus setting along the Farmington River. The building features large, efficient floor plates that are easily subdivided, with multiple lobby entrances. The property also boasts a four-story atrium lobby with views of Avon Mountain, abundant parking, a full-service cafeteria, fitness center with showers and locker room facilities, state-of-the-art conferencing center, executive board rooms, coffee break/lounge areas, outdoor seating and walking paths.
As the largest office complex in Simsbury, 200 Hopmeadow Street and The Hartford have been part of the local landscape for over 25 years, during which time The Hartford has also been the town’s largest employer. The Town of Simsbury and The Hartford have therefore developed and maintained a strong working relationship, which will continue, as they have agreed to work together on the disposition of the property. A formal, collaborative process has since been initiated to solicit community involvement in determining future uses for the property that will benefit both new ownership and the Town.
