Simsbury Homegoods Store to Open This Weekend

Homegoods grand opening to be held on Sunday

Nearly one year after the announcement of a new Homegoods store in Simsbury, the company plans to hold a grand opening for the new location this weekend.

Homegoods, a TJX company, will open its new 23,500 square foot store in the former Borders Books & Music location at the Simsbury Commons shopping center on Sunday, March 3. The store will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to company officials.

The company announced its plans for the Simsbury store in April after it signed a lease agreement with Charter Realty and Development. The retail home fashion store currently operates 11 stores in Conn.

The article says it provides information about "various ways" the community can helpRead More teachers. However, it provides information only about the Staples discount program. The link takes you to a Staples website, not to a list of ways communities are helping. In addition, statistics given are national, not relating to Simsbury, or even Connecticut. This seems like a canned article designed to promote Staples. Was it written and submitted by that retailer?
