What Business Should Move Next to Sunrise Convenience Store?

Share your ideas for a new business that Simsbury needs.

People are constantly pulling in and out of the parking lot at Sunrise Convenience Store, yet two storefronts sit vacant in the same plaza.

The commercial spaces are located at 1227 and 1231 Hopmeadow Street. The properties are for sale or lease by Correia Commercial Realty.

What type of business do you think would thrive in this space? Is there a particular business you think Simsbury needs?

Tell us your ideas in the comments section below.

It's too bad there isn't a drive thru window. Sometimes you have sick kids in the car and all you need is milk. Would be great if you could drive up order a coule of convenience store items and drive around to pick up. Other stores there? Maybe dry cleaning.

The drive thru idea sounds great and would be so convenient. As for other stores, it would be nice to have a fabric/sewing accessories shop in Simsbury (i.e. JoAnns Fabrics) Now we have to go to Walmart just for a spool of thread.

I would also like to see a fabric store. Sew Inspired is great but it mainly is for quilters. A fabric store similar to Joanns Fabrics without the craft and art stuff. Just fabrics and sewing supplies would be great! Walmart fabric department keeps getting smaller and smaller.

Here's a suggestion from Kathryn-Ann on our Facebook page: "I think that it is the perfect place for a bike shop because so many bicyclists stop there anyway. It's right near the trail. Maybe a good spot for a Vespa dealership, or some other kind of moped type dealership... (Wouldn't it be cool to have one in the area?)

I'd put in a Supercuts or the like. I like a fast inexpensive place to get my haircut that didn't take too long and didn't cost $50.
