Financial and Insurance Service Provider to Continue Local and Personalized Service into Next Generation
Avon, CT- February 1, 2014 - Robert Hensley & Associates, LLC., (RH&A) a leading Farmington Valley provider for financial and insurance services, today announced the promotion of Joseph Shiman III and Margaret Jakubowski to the position of active partners in the company.
“When I started the company in1991, I knew I wanted a business that would survive well into the future. The personal connection--so essential to proper insurance and financial planning--is lost once this happens. By passing ownership of RH&A over time to Joe and Margi, we can ensure our clients’ needs will be met well into the future. Joe Shiman III has been in the financial industry for almost 20 years. He began his career at the Travelers, which is where he met Hensley. “Joe impressed me immediately with his energy, industry knowledge, focus, hard work, and leadership abilities. After partnering together on several projects through Travelers, I knew he was the man I wanted to take the business into the future,” said Hensley. Joe began working with RH&A in 2002 helping both individuals and business owners alike build portfolios and manage long-term assets for success.
Margi Jakubowski came to work for the company in 2005. Hensley admitted that he was not sure any of his children would work for the company. “Margi came to work for us and immediately it became apparent that she was driven to make her own name within the local Employee Benefits arena,” said Hensley. “Over the years, her organization, tenacity, and level-headed vision have made her invaluable to our organization and the clients she serves. I am delighted that she made the decision to pursue this industry as her career. The fact that she is my daughter as well makes me very proud.”
