Upcoming Simsbury Patch Blog from the Perspective of a Young Adult

Introduction of Connor Lucker as a Simsbury Patch Blogger

As a busy student at Hobart College in Geneva, NY, I have only recently found the time to check out the Simsbury Patch.  I've found the variety of topics discussed by Simsbury Patch members to be very interesting and I enjoy reading the opinions of my neighbors, friends and fellow residents.  I also find the ease of access to the Simsbury Patch blog to be very unique.  Within minutes, interested individuals can quickly develop profile pages and begin to contribute via this local blog.  This blog service creates an online environment that is unique from many other news sites and forms of social media at the local level.

Despite the abundance of Patch community members that I've seen thus far, I have noticed that the Simsbury Patch lacks regular participants who fall in my age group.  Thus, I believe that the addition of a strong, young adult voice will be of great value to the Simsbury Patch.

In my future blog posts, I plan to comment on the various political events that will take place within the local, state, and national levels of government.  However, I do not wish to limit my posts to those simply of the political nature.  I would like to offer the voice (and opinions) of a young, college-aged adult on hot-topic issues relevant to all aspects of American life.

As I continue to develop my posts, I welcome all pertinent comments and feedback to be submitted in the comment section of the Simsbury Patch or via my email address connorlucker@comcast.net.  Please stay tuned.
