The Simsbury Public Library is launcing the Adult Summer Reading Program today. For every fiction or non-fiction book read between July 5 and August 23 readers will earn raffle tickets for a chance to win a gift basket from Rosedale Farms. Can't wait for the Valley Collector Car Club car show this weekend? Stop by the for the Toy Car Show and check out models of the real thing. The models will be on display all month in a glass display case in the lower level.

If you haven't taken the cell phone tour of downtown Simsbury, today would be the perfect day for a walk downtown. The one-hour tour is narrated by First Selectwoman Mary A. Glassman and will lead you to 11 local sites known for their architectural or historic value. To take the tour dial 860-323-9029 and start walking. The program is offered through the Simsbury Senior Center and is completely free- with the exception of your cell phone bill.
