If you haven't taken the cell phone tour of downtown Simsbury, it might be the perfect excuse to get out in between the showers today. The one-hour tour is narrated by First Selectwoman Mary A. Glassman and will lead you to 11 local sites known for their architectural or historic value. To take the tour dial 860-323-9029 and start walking. The program is offered through the Simsbury Senior Center and is completely free- with the exception of your cell phone bill.

A new exhibit featuring local artists opens today at the Sismbury Free Library. Simsbury artists Amy Conover, Marianne Flynn, and Susan Prentice will have work on display at the library until June 23. Tonight the library will host a wine and cheese reception tonight from 6-8 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public. The artists will donate 20 percent of all sales to the Simsbury Free Library.
