Looking for a fun activity for the kids? Swing by the Simsbury Public Library for Terrific Two's storytime. The library is hosting a special storytime for two year-olds and their parents or caregivers. Read stories, sing songs, play games, and enjoy some music this morning in the Discovery Room at the library. This event is free and you can just drop-in. For more information call 658-7663.

If it's not raining tonight, head down to the Performing Arts Center at Simsbury Meadows for Big Band Sounds of Benny Goodman and Peggy Lee at 6:30 p.m. Vocalist and pianist Amanda Carr will join Everett Longstreth and his Orchestra to bring the sounds of “The King of Swing” to Simsbury. Tickets for this event are priced at $8 for lawn seats and $12 for table seats.  The event is co-sponsored by McLean, Mitchell Auto Group, The Simsbury Bank and Vincent Funeral Homes. The Community Farm of Simsbury is hosting a night of Swing Dancing starting at 7 p.m. First there will be an hour of instruction followed by a full evening of dancing. Beverages will be available for purchase and snacks will be provided.
