If you're looking for a great summer activity for the kids today, look no further than the Auer Farm in Bloomfield. The farm is hosting week-long Middle School Gardening Programs for students in grades 6-8. The program starts daily at 9 a.m. and is completely free!

Anyone interested in learning how to make basic bicycle repairs should check out a free workshop tonight at the Simsbury Public Library. Steve Novy, owner of Bicycle Repairs Express, is leading a Bike Repair Workshop tonight starting at 6:30 p.m. The workshop is free and open to the public.

The Simsbury Celebrates Committee is hosting a fundraising event tonight at Red Stone Pub at 5 p.m. Janet Calabro and Ann Marie LaBreck from The Hartford will guest bartend at the pub from 5:00 -7:30. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated by Red Stone Pub to support the town wide celebration on November 24.

It's Wednesday, which means it's time for some local entertainment at Maple Tree Cafe. Acoustic Open Mic night is held Wednesday night's starting at 7:30 p.m.
