It's time to pull the bicycle out of the garage and get riding for National Bike Month. The Farmington Valley Trails Council is hosting a free guided bike ride on the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail/East Coast Greenway today at 10 a.m. The 30-mile ride north on the trail will begin at the Weatogue commuter parking lot. Don't forget your helmet!

Looking for a fun activity for your two-year-old on a gloomy day? Stop by the for Terriffic Two's Storytime this morning at 10 a.m. Enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays and music in the Discovery Room. Drop-ins are welcome. Call the library at 860-658-7663 for more information.

This weekend there will be plenty of rides and activities for the whole family. On Saturday at 9 a.m. there will be 10, 25, and 40 mile rides leaving from Simsbury Meadows. At 4 p.m. on Saturday there will be a leisurely, 90-minute trail ride, followed by gentle yoga instruction at the .

Don't miss out on the free Kids' Bike Rodeo sponsored by the on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Staff from The Bicycle Cellar will check bicycles and helmets for size and safety. Riders can test agility, balance and braking skills on obstacle course. Police will register bicycles (Simsbury residents only) and discuss bike safety. Also on Sunday, is sponsoring a free Mountain Bike Stunt Show, featuring 9-time national champion Mike Steidley at 1 p.m.
