Today's Weather: There's a chance we'll see some showers and thunderstorms today, according to the National Weather Service daily forecast. The storms could produce periods of heavy rain. Otherwise it will be mostly cloudy with a high near 85 degrees.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms with periods of heavy rain are likely before midnight. Mostly cloudy skies with an overnight low aroun 65 degrees.

There's always room for improvement, and the Simsbury Public Library English Conversation Group for adults aims to help anyone wishing to improve their spoken English. Classes will be held Tuesday mornings from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. in the Friends Café on the upper level of the Library. There's still time! The Avon Arts Association is hosting its Spring Members' Art Show at the Simsbury Public Library for a few more days. The exhibit will be on display throughout the month of May during regular library hours.
