The Simsbury Public Library is hosting an Author Event and Book Signing tonight at 6 p.m. Join authors and mothers Joan Luise Hill and Katie Mahon as they discuss their book 'The Miracle Chase : Three Women, Three Miracles and a Ten Year Journey of Discovery and Friendship.' The event is free and open to the public.

It's summertime, which means local farms are once again serving up the freshest produce around. Check out the East Granby Farmers Market today at 3:30 p.m. and support your local growers. Proceeds from the vendor's fees go towards supporting the East Granby Public Library. And if you can't get enough fresh, local produce, there's also the Simsbury Farmers Market on Thursday.

The Maple Tree Cafe is hosting its weekly Acoustic Open Mic tonight at 7:30 p.m. Get out and enjoy some local music! The open mic event is free but the drinks are not.
