Avon-Canton Animal Control Officer Beverly LaPlume is seeking owners for two dogs she found roaming this past weekend.
As of 6 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, she was seeking owners for:
- A yellow lab picked up on West Simsbury Road. The dog is a young male, very friendly but full of energy.
- A female Rottweiler also very friendly, that was found on North Mountain Road.
Anyone recognizing either of these two dogs can contact animal control at (860) 409-4205 or the Canton Police Department at (860) 693-0221. If no one claims them after the time required, they will be put up for adoption. That would be on May 22, seven days after the notice appears in the Hartford Courant.
