If you're looking for some guidance on how to operate that Kindle you got for Christmas, swing by the library for a class on downloading e-books to your Kindle. The Simsbury Public Library offers many free books that you can easily download and the staff is offering this free class to show you how. This class is specifically for the Amazon Kindle but the library will offer classes for other devices. Register for the class at the library or call 860-658-7663. If you haven't taken the cell phone tour of downtown Simsbury, today would be the perfect day for a walk downtown. The one-hour tour is narrated by First Selectwoman Mary A. Glassman and will lead you to 11 local sites known for their architectural or historic value. To take the tour dial 860-323-9029 and start walking. The program is offered through the Simsbury Senior Center and is completely free- with the exception of your cell phone bill.

Don't forget to check out the faculty-staff art show "Nature, Nurture, Or?" at Ethel Walker. Exhibitors will display art work of parents, siblings, or children to demonstrate whether artistic ability is inherited, nurtured or inspired. The gallery is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. from April 9-27.
