The International Walk/Bike to School Day events for Latimer Lane and Tootin' Hills schools have been postponed due to rain. The event will be held on October 10.

McLean Home Memory Care is presenting a free seminar on How to Engage Your Loved One With Dementia in Important Conversations today at 5 p.m. Sheri Morris, LCSW, a care consultant will help you learn how to have family discussions on important topics including what will be their home to advanced directives and much more.

Is your child preparing to take the ACT or SAT this year? The Simsbury Public Library is hosting Cracking the SAT and ACT: How to get Your Best Score. This is a free class offered at 7 p.m. Pre-registration is requested.

Simsbury's young men and women in their 20's and 30's should join the Generation Y Book Discussion group at the library. The group will meet in the Library’s Wagner Room the first Wednesday of the month from 7-8 p.m. beginning Wednesday, October 3 to discuss works of mutual interest.
