It's Memorial Day and we've got our choice of parades to attend to pay tribute to the nation's service men and women. The Memorial Day Community Celebration in Tariffville will begin at 9 a.m. with a ceremony following the parade. The Simsbury parade will be held on Hopmeadow Street beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Students from Squadron Line Elementary and Henry James schools have partnered up for a second Memorial Day Bake Sale to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. The bake sale will be held at and starts at 11 a.m. and will continue until the parade ends.
