Spring Weather, Peace Posters, and an Introduction

Today's Weather: It's not quite spring, but it will sure feel like it today. According to the National Weather Service daily forecast we can expect a sunny start to the week with the afternoon temperature reaching a high of 71 degrees.

Tonight: Clouds will move across the region tonight bringing a chance of rain after 11 p.m. The overnight low will be around 43 degrees.

Starting today, Simsbury Patch has a new editor. My name is Jeff Brush and I was born and raised right here in town. I began my career with Patch when I launched The Granbys Patch, covering Granby and East Granby. After a short stint helping to launch a new region of Patch sites in South Carolina as editor for Easley Patch, I am happy to be back in my hometown where I will be covering daily news, events and the lives of the people here in our community. Simsbury seniors should take advantage of the Senior Wisdom Series at today. One Full House Vice President Nanna Schittina and The Kensington Company Estate Liquidators and Appraisers founder Sean Mahoney will be providing information to seniors and their families about the process of downsizing. The event is free and will be held in the Burkholder Community Center at McLean Village from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
