Wet, Heavy Snow Expected This Weekend

Northern Conn. could see as much as 6-10 inches of snow by Sunday

Northern Conn. could be the recipient of another large deposit of snow as a a winter storm makes its way to the northeast.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the Simsbury area and is forecasting 6-10 inches of snowfall on Saturday and Sunday.

The storm is expected to drop "heavy, wet snow" from Connecticut to southern New Hampshire. The storm will also bring strong winds which could cause downed trees and limbs and possibly power outages.

The town of Simsbury is urging residents to remove snow from the roof in order to prevent damage to the home.
