Route 10 Pizza was open on Monday, as it has a gas stove, but the owner said it will most likely not be able to stay open past today if the power does not come back.

Meadow restaurant was open, as well as Benny's. Andy's is also open.

One patron outside of Route 10 Pizza said EMS in Avon was open and was selling camping equipment and ACE Hardware in Canton had propane for sale and was supposed to be getting in generators today.

If you want to buy stamps or get mail from your post office box, you can stop by the post offices. Mail is also being delivered where it is passable.

"The mail will get out this afternoon," said the postal clerk in Weatogue.

It was also a way to check up on people as customer Jim Edwin stopped in. He lives in Enfield but his mom is in Weatogue and the mail clerk asked how all were faring.

Edwin, who had moved his mother to Enfield with him, said they had a hot meal of turkey last night. He has kerosene.
