Why are you seeking office?
I have been proud to call Simsbury my home for most of my life. It seemed only fair that I give back to the town that has given me so much, and I look forward to volunteering for the next two years on the Board of Selectmen.
What experience do you bring to the table?
Both my professional experience as a Managing Director and volunteer experiences on the Board of Selectmen as well as leadership roles in other organizations have provided me the foundation and knowledge to tackle our biggest challenges. Having spent most of my life in Simsbury, I am uniquely qualified to represent what is most important to all our residents.
What do you feel is the town's most pressing
The continued challenge of a shrinking grand list with stalled economic development is a major concern for all taxpayers. The addition of the Hartford leaving town adds further pressure and we must be proactive to ensure we are able to continue to provide a great education, preservation of open space and respect for our town’s rich heritage.
What do you love most about town?
the things that I love the most about Simsbury is that it maintains such a
small town feel. From the way our town looks to the way our citizens act,
we are proud New Englanders who help each other out. Storm Albert really
showed us how well we all come together. From volunteering at shelters to
helping our neighbors remove fallen brush and trees, Simsbury’s citizens really
know how to treat each other.
What do you like to do for fun?
travelling, spending time with my family and dog, and showing my wife Jacquelyn
all of the things that Simsbury has to offer.
