A CELEBRATION OF DIANA ROSS: THE MUSIC, THE LEGEND, THE VOICE

The Simsbury Library is pleased to host a panel discussion where the career and music of legendary Motown superstar Diana Ross will be discussed and highlighted by the people who have been by her side throughout her historic career - her fans. Among those scheduled to appear are Reach Out International Diana Ross Fan Club President Gregg Simon and writer Dustin Fitzharris. They will share memorable stories that differ from the sensationalized stories that often appear in the press.  Essays by both of these panelists were featured in the book The Diva and her Tribe: Diana Ross, the Ultimate Collection by Tom Adrahtas. If his schedule allows, Tom will also be in attendance. The program will be moderated by Simsbury's own Sean Lyons, who is spearheading 'Bring Diana Ross to Simsbury', an on-going social media campaign to bring Diana to Simsbury during her 2014 tour (follow on Facebook.com/DianaInSimsbury or on Twitter @DianainSimsbury). Diana Ross fans can see her this year on August 13 at 8:00 PM at the Bushnell. The Supreme's last tour date before their farewell appearance was at the Bushnell in 1969.  (Box office: 860-987-5900, Website: bushnell.org)

Refreshments will be provided at this panel discussion at the Simsbury Public Library.
