Local tutor, Martha Gilbert will offer a hands-on essay workshop for students who will be taking the SAT on either April 2 or 3. Students will learn strategies to write an effective essay, from the zinger of an introductory sentence, the art of brainstorming and mechanics to writing a powerful and impressive conclusion. During each evening, students will have an opportunity to experience a timed practice on writing an effective essay and will get feedback on their essays. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to work in a small group to improve this important skill.
