THE NARRATIVE ART OF MELISSA CROGHAN – BOOK-SIGNING AND SOLO ART SHOW RECEPTION

The public is welcome to this book-signing and solo art show with brief presentation highlighting many of Melissa Croghan’s expressive oil paintings, including the cover art work for her novel, The Tracking Heart. Melissa wears two hats, that of painter and writer. Come share in the joy of her work.

Melissa Croghan’s recently published novel The Tracking Heart has been receiving accolades. Professional critics from The Kirkus Review to bestselling New York Times authors are loving this book. Believing in interdisciplinary, narrative arts, Melissa has created the oil painting that graces the cover of her suspense and mainstream novel. It shows a bear climbing a tree, most likely going after the woman above, in this tree. The intriguing part is that protagonist Callie Major is swinging a leg, sitting on a branch, perhaps unafraid of what is coming after her. The mystery of who and what that bear is may be said to sum up the mystery of life, love, and living fully that this novel explores.

Visit melissacroghan.com for a peek ahead of time. Her work will be on display at the Simsbury Public Library during the month of February.
