Westminster School to Present “Once Upon a Mattress”

The Westminster School Dramat Association will present the musical “Once Upon a Mattress” Feb. 15-17 in the school’s Werner Centennial Center.

The musical comedy tells the story of poor Prince Dauntless who cannot find a princess to suit his mother’s pride, and no one in the kingdom can marry until the young prince ties the knot.  Along comes the wild and rambunctious Princess Winnifred, and it is unclear if she has what it takes to pass the queen’s test or if she will fail just like all of the others. This charming medieval adaptation of “The Princess and the Pea,” is filled with plot twists, chivalry and heart.

The Westminster performances are free and open to the public with general admission seating. They will take place at 8 p.m. on Feb. 15 and 16 and at 2 p.m. on Feb. 17.
