Evening with an Author

In the early morning of March 18, 1990, two thieves disguised as Boston police officers entered the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and made of with $500 million worth of art pieces. The works, including four Degas paintings, have never been recovered, making this the largest art heist in history.

This crime is the inspiration for B.A. Shapiro's latest novel, The Art Forger. Join us at the Simsbury Library to hear about her book. The New York Times Book Review says "Shapiro's brisk narrative takes the reader through Boston's art world, the logistics of forgery and the periods of attribution."

Please register before March 6. Go to www.simsburylibrary.info, stop by at the reference desk, or call (860) 658-7663.
