Hartt offers Dance Classes for Toddler’s and Pre-K Children at Simsmore Square

Toddler and Pre-K Dance Program for ages 1-4 at Simsmore Square

Young children are natural-born dancers! They can't help but wiggle, jump, and move to express their individuality. Hartt's dance classes for children ages 1-4 give our youngest artists a place to express themselves through movement while caring faculty guide them in activities which develop coordination, musicality, dexterity, and rhythm. Dance with Me classes give parents and toddlers a special time to explore the joy of dance together while interacting with other classmates and families.

Dance with Me
ages 1-2 years, with parent/guardian
Using the joy of dance to create a special bond between parent and child, this program for one and two-year olds and their parent or guardian delivers fun, creativity and social stimulation. Using movement, rhythm and creativity games and activities, toddlers will gain balance and coordination while experiencing the joy of moving!
Classes run for 34 weeks from September through June. Tuition is prorated after the first week of class.

Explorer and Discovery Ballet
ages 3-4 years
Our Explorer and Discovery Ballet program is designed toi open the exciting world of dance to children ages 3 to 4 years. Through movement games and activities with classmates, children develop a sense of coordination, space, musicality, creativity, and an overall joy of movement. With just the right balance of fun and discipline, children are encouraged to express their individuality and reach their highest potential. 
Classes run for 34 weeks from September through June. Tuition is prorated after the first week of class.

Tiny Tap I and II
ages 3-4 years
Incorporating and extra emphasis on rhythm, dexterity, musicality and performance quality, our Tiny Tap program gives 3 and 4-year olds an early introduction to a well-rounded dance education. Most Tiny Tap classes are scheduled around Hartt's ballet classes so that children can participate in both. Come for the fun and make some noise!

Hartt's Toddler and Pre-K Dance Program is offered at Simsmore Square (540 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury) on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays throughout the 2013-2014 school year. Visit www.hcd.hartford.edu for a current schedule of classes.
