Hop Brook Tennis Club Open House

The Farmington Valley's historic Hop Brook Tennis Club will be opening its West Simsbury doors to families on Sunday July 21st at 1:00 p.m. for an afternoon of tennis, paddle tennis, badminton, bocce and croquet.  Barbecued burgers and hot dogs, Tulemeadow ice cream and refreshments will be provided until 5:00 p.m.   The club will provide tennis and paddle balls and a limited number of demo racquets for use by attendees.  Free half hour junior clinics will be offered at 1:30 and 3:30 by members and club USPTA Level-1 teaching professional and Avon's Perfect Racquet owner, Tony Taverna.  Reservations requested to Hopbrook@yahoo.com by July 18.

The rain date is Sunday, August 4th.

Hop Brook open house guests will experience one of the longest running organizations in town and a pioneer in the development of tennis and paddle tennis in central Connecticut.  Founded in 1945, today the club has three Har Tru® clay courts and 2 modern paddle courts and 130+ members playing at all levels from social play to Greater Hartford League play events. In addition to tennis and paddle, there are numerous social and family-friendly events throughout the year.  Because the club is volunteer driven, dues have always been surprisingly low.  If you love tennis and paddle and are looking for a fun "do-it-yourself" club experience, it's an unbeatable deal.
